Risk

Tis an appropriate topic for today.  When you fail to have sufficient backups and your computer dies - as mine did 2 days ago - you RISK all manner of grief trying to get back online.  Trust me - all manner is real, especially when jumping into the modern world of Windows 8 and IE 10 from XP and IE 8.  So that's my tale of woe & risk - I know the sky is NOT falling but I resent having to read all this mew stuff.  GRRRRRRRRRR.

Please check out what my smarter cohorts have to say on the subject - Delirious, gaelikaa, Grannymar, Maxi, Maria SF, Padmum, Paul, Ramana, The Old Fossil and Will.

  1. I hope that GRRRRRRRRRR was not for Grannymar! I'll admit that when I thought of this topic the line in my head was a phrase my granny would throw at us: "Would you risk it, for a biscuit?" Mind you it was long before we knew what the 'it' was. Hope the problems sort themselves out soon.

  2. I feel for you.... I have been having problems with my VPN all week. The great China firewall has been blocking it, and I am only able to check blogs occasionally. Although I did get help from a live technician, and it appears that his fix is working!

  5. What a change in circumstances old friend! A jock who risked his limbs and life, now risking not being online! And that is the crux of the problem. Events overtaking us!
